 The Dempster highway is a unique – the only Canadian road to the Arctic Circle - road which can destroy your vehicle. Wilderness begins as soon as you step off the gravel. We bring a spotting scope and binoculars to scan for Dall sheep, grizzlies,​

​moose, woodland caribou etc. Over 150 species of birds summer in Tombstone Park alone  ​​.

 

Many vehicle rentals do not cover the Dempster. Leave the potholes, cracked windshields and flat tires to our truck while you enjoy the mountain and tundra views. We offer overnight trips to the Arctic Circle and beyond.  Accomodation can be booked at Eagle Plains Lodge.

Tent sites are also available at Rock River Campground where we will overnight .

We offer an informal campfire orientation in our backyard (with local tea. bannock and wild berry jam) the evening before we leave. Trips and campfires will be tailored to the interests of our guests. Families are more than welcome – we will work with parents to be sure the trip is fun for their children.​
